Why it matters
Most mouth problems are routine, but a small number are not. A surgeon trained in head and neck oncology is used to looking at the whole mouth, tongue, jaw and neck, and knowing which changes need a closer look.
If you have a mouth ulcer that has not healed in around two weeks, a white or red patch that will not go away, or a lump you cannot explain, do not wait for it to settle. A short examination can either reassure you or get you to the right care early.
Areas of Expertise
Planned, gentle removal of wisdom teeth, including impacted ones, and other extractions, after examination and X-ray.
Oral surgery →Part of the clinic's multispeciality implant team with Dr. Anish Goyal, with CBCT planning and guided surgery where suitable.
Implants →Laser techniques in oral surgery where they suit the procedure.
Laser dentistry →Examination of the mouth, tongue and jaw for early warning signs, and biopsy when needed.
Book a screening →Assessment and treatment of jaw joint pain, clicking and restricted opening.
Oral surgery →What to expect
A careful look at the area, with X-rays where needed.
What is wrong, what the options are, and what each involves.
Done under local anaesthesia in most cases, with comfort a priority.
Written aftercare advice and a follow-up to check healing.
